What runs by default
A project-specific Plausible script provides aggregate, cookieless traffic measurement worldwide. It may process details such as the page visited, referrer, approximate location, browser, and device type without creating a persistent visitor profile on this site.
Outside the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, Google Analytics 4 also loads by regional default unless you have previously disabled optional analytics. Advertising storage, advertising user data, ad personalization, Google Signals, and ad-personalization signals remain disabled.
What requires your choice
For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, Google Analytics 4 loads only after an explicit “Accept analytics” choice. Microsoft Clarity always requires that explicit choice in every region because it provides heatmaps and session recordings. Its default masking protects sensitive page content.
If the site cannot determine whether the regional consent requirement applies, it uses the safer default and waits for your choice.
How the regional check works
The browser asks a same-origin endpoint whether consent is required. Vercel supplies the request country as infrastructure metadata; the endpoint returns only a yes-or-no policy result. This site does not return the country to the page or store the IP address as part of this check.
How your preference is stored
Your analytics choice is saved in this browser's local storage under bor-analytics-consent. A saved choice overrides the regional default. Disabling optional analytics stops Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity on the next page load; Plausible remains active. Resetting removes your saved choice and returns to the regional default.
